The mayors association for the country of Belize holds a monthly meeting every year. For the month of June, the meeting was held at San Pedro Town where we, the Belize Yacht Club Resort & Marina hosted them. Present were the Mayor of San Pedro Ms. Elsa Paz, the mayor of Orange Walk Mr. Ravell Gonzalez, Mayor of Belize City Zenaida Moya, Mayor of Belmopan Mr. Simeon Lopez, Mayor of San Ignacio/Santa Ellena Mr. John August, Mayor of Punta Gorda Mr. Carlos Galvez, Mayor of Dangriga Mr. Frank Mena and Mr. Carballo who is presently the executive secretary of the Mayor’s association.
The meeting was held on June 15, 2007 at the Conference room here at the Resort. We Welcomed and hosted them with a grand breakfast buffet, lunch and afternoon coffee break. The meeting ended at 4:00 pm and all of them were pleased with our service and presentation.
We hope to host another meeting later this year and definitely again next year. Congratulations to all the Mayors and may you all continue doing a great job!!
